The University of Idaho plays Boise State this weekend in what's arguably one of the biggest games in Vandals history.
Idaho was working hard at practice today. The team practice outside to help them get a feel for what it will actually be like on Saturday in Boise. Speakers also pumped artificial sound onto the practice field to help the offense get used to crowd noise.
The Vandals (7-3) are out to crush the Broncos (9-0) hopes of making another BCS bowl game. It won't be an easy task. Boise State is No. 6 in the country, and they haven't lost to Idaho in more than ten years.
Kickoff is scheduled for 12pm (PT) on Saturday. The game will be aired nationally on ESPNU. Oddsmakers have absolutely no faith in the Vandals. The Broncos are picked as 31 point favorites this weekend.
Much of Idaho's success depends on the health of quarterback Nathan Enderle. He saw limited action during practice on Wednesday, even throwing passes with his left arm (he's a righty) to help avoid hurting his injured right rotator cuff. Backup quarterback Brian Reader took most of the snaps with the first team offense.
The Vandals defense must also find a way to prevent Boise State from jumping out to an early lead. Idaho has been outscored 66-17 in the first quarter in their last four games combined. If they fall into an early hole against the Broncos, it will be hard to claw back into the game.
