BOISE -- The University at Buffalo Bulls (8-4) will take on the San Diego State Aztecs (5-3) in the 2013 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Saturday, December 21 at 3:30 MST at Bronco Stadium.

It's officially bowl week in Boise, as the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl saw its teams arrive in the City of Trees on Tuesday

But before they get to the game,  the two teams squared off at Pinz Bowling for a friendly competition, proceeds going to charity. Then on Wednesday the two teams took a trip to Fast Lane to go indoor go-kart racing.

San Diego State won the bowling competition, which is a big deal for the teams, as is playing in the bowl game.

"We're just really thankful to be here, and we can tell how much support the community has with this bowl game, and the people that put on the bowl game. It's amazing over there, everybody's really enjoying themselves," said San Diego State fullback Chad Young.

"Our team is excited about playing here. We're even excited about the weather being a little cold, because most of our guys haven't been in any kind of cold weather. So  we're excited about everything going on," said San Diego State head coach Rocky Long.

"This is their reward. An opportunity to come, and it didn't matter where we were going to play. So I told them, 'Hey we're just going to fly a little bit west, and we're going to line up, play somebody in the Mountain West, and it's going to be a great opportunity for you guys to experience what a bowl festivities all about,'" said University at Buffalo head coach Jeff Quinn.

"I don't care about anything other than getting this win. When I get a bowl win, it'll be the first team in Buffalo history to get this bowl win," said University at Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack.

This is just the second bowl appearance in the history of the program for the University of Buffalo.
