BOISE -- Tuesday will be the battle of the unbeatens as the Boise State Men's Basketball team (6-0) will go up against the University of Utah Utes (6-0) at Taco Bell Arena at 8:05 p.m. MST.
The Boise State men's basketball team has played great so far, they're undefeated, but they haven't faced the toughest of competition. Yet.
Last year, the Utes beat Boise State by 21 points in Salt Lake, so the Broncos wouldn't mind repaying the favor this time around.
"Obviously it's going to fuel you, losing to a team by 20, and them shooting such a high percentage. Some of the guys are just, you know, you can see it in their eyes that they're ready to go, get this game started. I don't think we were 100 percent ready for that game, but defensively it killed us and we know we had lapses last year with our defense, and that has to be a focus this year so it doesn't happen again," said junior guard/forward Anthony Drmic at Monday's press conference.
Also at Monday's press conference, coach Leon Rice said it's going to be a great test for both the undefeated teams.
"Well it's going to be a great test, and I think it's a great test for both teams and it's not the end all season making test for either team, but they've handled teams well and they're playing good basketball, so I think it's needed for us and it's needed for them to play some good teams," said Rice.
