The search is on for a new head men's basketball coach at Boise State. There's a few people that, sources say, have already been contacted about the job on an unofficial basis.
Leading the pack is Larry Krystowiak. The former Idaho Stampede, Montana, and Milwaukee Bucks head-man would bring plenty of experience. But, he might not also be the best fit. He's coaching a National team in Germany right now.
Bryan Gates is the former Championship head coach of the Stampede is an up-and-comer in the coaching world. But, he loves his current position as an assistant with the Sacramento Kings, and they love him.
Dan Monson is the current Long Beach State head-man, and the son of Idaho great Don Monson. He saw great success with Gonzaga, but has had less succes with Minnesota and Long Beach.
There's also a current Gonzaga assistant who the search committee is looking at. My source didn't say who... but Ray Giacoletti, the former Eastern Washington head-man makes sense.
