BOISE -- Former Boise State linebacker J.C. Percy announced the Kansas City Chiefs invited him to a club tryout on Wednesday.
The former college walk-on will report to camp on May 9, then work out May 10-12. He says depending on how he performs, the Chiefs will entertain the thought inviting him to OTAs on May 14.
"I remember when I first started playing football I told my parents that I'd like to make it to the league sometime," Percy recalled over the phone. "They bought me a sign and it said 'follow your dreams.' They hung it in my room and I looked at it everyday."
"It's just awesome that dream is finally coming true," said the elated linebacker.
Percy led Boise State with 118 tackles last fall. In 53 career games, the Blackfoot-native recorded 295 tackles, which ranks 15th in school history.
