BOISE -- The Boise State men's basketball team opened their season with an offensive onslaught against Willamette University, winning 111-72 on Tuesday night. Every Bronco that set foot on the floor scored at least 3 points while a total of 6 Broncos reached double figures.
Newcomer Robert Arnold and La'Shard Anderson led the way with 14 points, while CSI trasnfer Daequon Montreal had a double-double, putting up 13 points and grabbing as many boards in the victory. Ike Okoye also had 13 points to go along with 10 rebounds., but Montreal helped BSU pull away in the first half as he started a 17-3 run over the final 5 minutes of the 1st half with a put back lay-in.
Boise State led the game 46-27 at the end of the first half and shot nearly 61 percent from the field in the 2nd half to keep the Bearcats at bay.
