BOISE -- Boise Hawks outfielder Trevor Gretzky has his eyes set on the big leagues.

"I went to my first game at Yankee Stadium.  Ever since then, I wanted to play in the major leagues," Gretzky said.

Like his father Wayne, Trevor wants to make an impact on his own sport, and win championships.

"That's the ultimate goal when you sign your first contract.  I want to win a world series," he said.

Some may think that having such an accomplished dad would put a great deal of pressure on the son, but in Trevor’s case, he is motivated.

"My dad is a normal dad.  He comes out here just like all the other dads, and he supports me."

Trevor admits that he inherited a great deal of athleticism from his dad to go along with his competitiveness, but he also got a lot of it from his mom.

"She's pretty competitive.  I'd say she's more competitive than my dad.  You know, I think I got a lot of things from her as well."

At just 20-years-old, Trevor is handling the pressures of playing professional ball, and being the son of "The Great One."

"He's very even keel.  He doesn't get to high, he doesn't get too low," Hawks manager Gary Van Tol said.

For Trevor, that's just natural, especially with the last name Gretzky.

"My mom, my dad, my brothers, my sisters, everyone," Gretzky said   "We're all kind of the same."
