BOISE--  No strangers to exciting games, the Boise Hawks produced another one on Saturday night, beating the Vancouver Canadians 3-2 in walk-off fashion.  The victory staved of elimination for the Hawks in the Northwest League Championship Series, and forced a deciding Game 3 to be played on Sunday night.

With the game tied at 2-2 in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hawks loaded the bases up with no outs.  Catcher Willson Contreras ended the game on a line drive to left field that scored Jemeir Candelario.  After the game, teammates immediately swarmed Contreras in celebration.

The Hawks played catch up the entire game.  Trailing by a run in the seventh, Candelario beat out an RBI ground ball single that started out in foul territory but rolled back into play.  The Hawks then rallied in the eighth when Stephen Bruno came up with a two-out RBI hit to tie the game at 2-2.

The Hawks will face the Canadians Sunday night at Memorial Stadium with the championship on the line.  First pitch is set to be thrown at 6:45 pm.

The Hawks haven't won a NWL title since 2004.
