GARDEN CITY -- The Boise Hawks surged to a 10-6 win over Tri-City, Friday night, winning their first series of the young season.
The Hawks drew first blood when Ben Klafczyinski doubled in Chad Noble to make it a 1-0 game.
In the second Boise continued scoring putting up three runs on three hits to take a commaning 4-0 lead.
In the third Pin-Cheih Chen's sac-fly gave Boise a seemingly insurmountable 5-0 lead.
Unfortunately the lead wouldn't last because in the top of the fourth Tri-City sent 12 batters to the plate and tallied six runs to take a 6-5 lead.
In the sixth inning Boise got redemption sending eight batters to the dish scoring four runs to take back the lead at 9-6.
The Hawks would add one more run to make it an even 10-6 victory.
Designated hitter Paul Hoilman had a team high three RBI on the evening, while Klafczyinski and Chen each had two RBI.
Boise continues its homestand on Saturday when Spokane comes to town for a three game series.
