VANCOUVER, B.C. -- The Boise Hawks continued their struggles on the road, falling to the Vancouver Canadians, 8-4, on Friday night.
The Canadians started the scoring off, taking a 4-0 lead into the seventh inning. But the Hawks were able to cut that lead in half on back to back doubles by Jordan Hankins and Shawon Dunston Jr.
Vancouver answered in the bottom half of the inning with a run and a bases clearing double by Jordan Leyland to grab a four run lead. The Hawks had no answer in the final two innings.
The Hawks have now lost 8-of-9 after winning six-straight at the end of June. Vancouver will host Boise again on Saturday.
