GARDEN CITY -- The Boise Hawks made a furious comeback, but it fell just short as they lost for the second straight night to the Everett Aquasox 8-6, on Saturday.

The night got off to a rough start as Everett ate up Hawks starter Austin Reed.

In only four innings he allowed five runs on 10 hits.

Reed came into the game with Boise's highest ERA at 7.31, but still had a record of 0-0 because the team has been able to save him with offense, and that would happen again on Saturday.

In the fifth Boise sent 10 men to the plate and managed to score six runs to actually take the lead back from Everett at 6-5, and Reed was again off the hook.

The Hawks held the lead until the top of the eighth when the Sox pushed three more runs across to take the lead for good at 8-6, and that would be the final score.

The Aquasox pounded out 18 hits on the night.

It is the first time the Hawks have lost back to back games at home this season, but they have another shot at Everett on Sunday and Monday before the team hits the road for Vancouver, Canada.
