The Boise Hawks gave up a season high six doubles to the Tri-City Dust Devils on Thursday night on their way to their 22nd loss in their last 32 games, 6-3.
Tri-City pounced on Boise starter Juan Serrano in the third inning loading the bases and then they hit back to back doubles bringing around all four runs to make it a 4-0 game after three. Serrano allowed another run in the fourth inning after surrendering another two doubles and it was 5-0 and the Cuban's night was over.
Boise would get one run back in their half of the fifth on a Dustin Harrington base hit scoring Chris Huseby to make it 5-1.
Down 6-1 in the eighth the Hawks got two runs back, one on an Elliot Soto RBI double and another on a throwing error, but Boise would fail to even the score in the ninth.
The Hawks are now 2-6 on their current road trip.
They continue their series at Tri-City on Friday night, first pitch is set for 8:05 MTN.
