BOISE -- The Boise Hawks rallied back to win their sixth straight game on Thursday night, beating the Everett Aqua Sox, 3-2, at Memorial Stadium.

Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh, Rony Rodriguez singled to center with runners on second and third. Lance Rymel trotted home to cut the deficit in half, but Jake Rogers was gunned out by James Amarripa trying to tie the game.

With two outs in the inning, Cael Brockmeyer then game to the plate and lifted a fly ball to shallow center field. It fell in front of Amarripa who threw home to prevent Rodriguez from scoring. Everett catcher Christian Carmichael then tried to throw down to third to catch Rodriguez retreating to the base, but Carmichael's throw wound up in left field. It allowed both Rodriguez and Brockmeyer to score, as the Hawks went up 3-2.

This was the first of a five-game set between the two Northwest League foes. Everett and Boise will meet again at 7:15 p.m. on Friday at Memorial Stadium.
