BOISE-- The Boise Hawks couldn't carry over their 12-run offensive magic from Thursday night, as the home team fell to Spokane 4-1 at Memorial Stadium on Friday.
The visiting Indians got an immediate surge from their lead off batter when Chris Garcia launched the third pitch of the game over the left field wall to take a 1-0 lead. Spokane added runs in the seventh and eighth innings to seal up the win.
Boise had chances to to tie the game in the second and third innings, but Rock Shoulders was thrown out at the plate and Marco Hernandez was left stranded on third base in the third.
Spokane pitcher Abel De Los Santos threw five innings of shutout ball, and struck out four Hawks batters.
Boise's lone run of the night came in the ninth on a Jemeir Candelario RBI single.
Boise will host Spokane again on Saturday night. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m.
