CHICAGO, IL -- The Chicago Cubs have recalled former Boise Hawks outfielder Tyler Colvin from Triple-A Iowa.
Colvin takes the place of the injured Alfonso Soriano who sustained a quad injury in the first inning of the Cubs loss on Monday.
The former Hawk was sent down on May 16th after struggling for first six weeks of the season, hitting .113 with two home runs in 62 at bats.
In Colvin's return, on Tuesday, he homered in the Cubs 7-3 loss.
