BOISE – On the same day Idaho announced a new three-year agreement to continue playing at CenturyLink Arena in Boise, the Stampede defended their home floor with a 101-95 victory over the Texas Legends.
All five Idaho starters scored in double-figures, but it was Marcus Banks who contributed with a team-high 24 points off the bench.
Banks put the game on ice at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, sinking all six of his attempts. On the night, Banks finished 13-of-15 from the charity stripe, with the Stampede shooting 21-of-26 as a team.
The Idaho (17-25) victory snaps Texas' (21-19) eight-game winning streak.
The Stampede and Legends play again on Thursday at CenturyLink Arena. Tipoff is at 7 p.m
