BOISE - The Boise State women's basketball team tried to rally from a 17-point deficit in the second half, but came up short against UNLV 75-66 on Wednesday night at Taco Bell Arena.

Down by 17 with 14:39 left to play, the Broncos pulled within four points twice in the final four minutes.  Junior center Lauren Lenhardt hit two free throws with 3:22 remaing to cut the deficit to 66-62, but the Rebels finished the game on 9-4 run, securing their 20th victory of the season.

Three Broncos reached double-figure points led by Lenhardt and freshman Keiahnna Engel with 14 apiece, followed by senior Kati Isham with 10. Junior Kinzi Poteet pulled down a team-high nine rebounds while Lenhardt added seven.

Next up for Boise State is the final home game of the season against the University of Wyoming Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Taco Bell Arena. It will be Senior Day for Boise State’s three seniors Heather Pilcher, Kati Isham and Nicole Brady.
