BOISE - It was a senior day to remember as the Boise State women's basketball team rallied from down double-digits to defeat the University of Wyoming 61-53 at Taco Bell Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Trailing by 13 with 18:07 left to play, Boise State slowly chipped away at the deficit to give itself a chance at the end. Senior Heather Pilcher converted a three-point play with 3:34 remaining to give the Broncos their first lead at 52-49.
Junior Kinzi Poteet came alive in the second quarter as she scored 16 of her career-high 18 points in the final 20 minutes. The 13-point comeback victory was the largest deficit Boise State has overcome this season, as they improve to 14-14 overall and 5-8 in conference play.
The Broncos closeout the regular season this coming Wednesday when they travel to league leading San Diego State (21-6, 11-2 MW). Tipoff is set for 8:00 p.m.
