BOISE - The Boise State men’s basketball team lost to No. 21 San Diego State, 66-53, on Senior Night at Taco Bell Arena Wednesday.
Seniors Wes Perryman and Tre Nichols both started for the Broncos, but only had nine combined points. True freshman Derrick Marks led Boise State with 13, while fellow-freshman Anthony Drmic added 10.
The Broncos went just 11-of-25 from the free throw line (.440), and although the team started 0-for-12 from the 3-point line, Jeff Elorriaga’s three-pointer with 5:56 remaining in the game extended the Broncos’ streak of consecutive games with a three-pointer to 335 games.
The Broncos close the regular season Saturday at New Mexico. Tip-off against the Lobos is scheduled for 2 p.m. (MT), and the game will be televised nationally by NBC Sports Network.
