BOISE - The Boise State women's basketball won its inaugural Mountain West Conference game with a convincing 65-46 victory over the University of New Mexico Wednesday night in Taco Bell Arena at Boise. Lauren Lenhardt led the Broncos with a season-high 23 points while Kati Isham added 12.
Boise State never trailed in the contest taking an eight-point (35-27) lead into the half before blowing the game open in the second half. The Broncos opened the final period with a 10-0 run two minutes into the half and never looked back. The blue and orange took a game-high 25 point (63-38) lead with just over five minutes to play.
The win improves Boise State to 10-6 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Next up for Boise State is a road game at Air Force Saturday afternoon.
