WAC Sports Network announces talent

On Thursday the Western Athletic Conference in cooperation with Learfield Sports announced the talent fans will see on the WAC Sports Network (WSN) during the 2010 football and basketball seasons. 

WSN will feature Dave Harbson and Guy Haberman as its football play-by-play announcers and they'll be joined in the booth by color analysts Dick Tomey and Joe Glenn. 

Many football fans likely recognize color analysts Tomey and Glenn. 

Tomey was the head coach at San Jose State from 2005-2009 and decided to end his 29-year coaching career following last season. 

Glenn's coaching career spanned from the mid-70's at Doane College until 2008 when he finished up his career at the University of Wyoming.  Glenn also coach at the University of Montana from 2000-2002. 

WSN's play-by-play announcer Dave Harbson has called football as as well as baseball all over the country.  While working in Ann Arbor, Michigan Harbson did play-by-play for the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan and has also been involvined in Houston Astros broadcasts. 

Haberman meanwhile is the host of the Guy Haberman show on 1430 ESPN Radio in Fresno, California.  He also works as a play-by-play man for for the AAA Fresno Grizzlies an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. 

WSN will also feature three reporters, Lauren Mickler, Jenny Cavnar, and Ralph Gaston.  All three have work experience in WAC markets. 

The WAC Sports Network will air its first game September 18th from Logan Utah as the Utah State Aggies take on Fresno State. 

Their second broadcast will be October 2nd featuring Eastern Michigan taking on the Idaho Vandals.  Later that evening they'll come to your living from from Las Cruces, New Mexico as the Aggies take on Boise State. 

In and around the Boise area you can find the WAC Sports Network on KTVB Channel 7.2 of 24/7.
