The State Playoffs start with a bang!

The State Playoffs kicked off Friday night for a number of local teams.
In the 5A, the Capital Eagles avenged their season-ending loss to Mtn. View last year, with a 38-13 victory.  Meanwhile, the Eagle beat 2nd-year school Rocky Mountain, 35-17.
In 4A action, Bishop Kelly had their season ended by 2007 State Champ, Blackfoot, 27-14.  Also, Twin Falls came up with a big win, beating Nampa, 28-21.  And, Middleton was shutout on the road at Sandpoint, 30-0.
The Fruitland Grizzlies had no trouble in their 3A Quarterfinal game, crushing Orofino, 67-6.  3A Quarterfinals continue On Saturday, with Weiser hosting South Fremont at 1.  Meanwhile, Payette plays at Timberlake at 2.
More 2A Quarterfinals Saturday as well, Nampa Christian is at Parma, Glenns Ferry is at North Fremonth, and New Plymouth travels to Kamiah.
In the 1A on Friday, Dietrich lost big to Mackay, 56-8.  There's also more 1A Playoffs on Saturday.
