BOISE -- The ECHL league office didn't have to look far for this week's Player of the Week because it's the same guy as last week, Idaho's Mark Derlago.
Derlago had 8 points last week, 4 goals and 4 assists, over three games to help the Steelies improve to 32-11-3 this season. He also had a hat trick on Saturday night, his first of the season, in a 4-2 victory over Las Vegas.
The 24-year-old native of Brandon, Manitoba, has managed at least one point in each of the Steelheads last 12 games. During the streak he's accumulated 31 total points (12 goals, 19 assists) to climb all the way to sixth in the entire league in points, with 52.
The Steelheads are back home for 3 games this week, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, hosting the Utah Grizzlies.
