BOISE -- The Idaho Steelheads lost Game 3 of the Western Conference semi-finals to the Ontario Reign, 2-1, on Wednesday at CenturyLink Arena.
Idaho got on the board in the first, when defenseman Patrick Cullity, who just returned to Boise after a stint in the AHL, found the back of the net at the 4:37 mark.
That score would hold true until the third period, when Ontario got on the board twice.
After a wrister from Adrian Van de Mosselaer beat Steelhead goalie Josh Robinson 1:49 into the final period, Mario Lamoureux's goal with under five minutes to play proved to be the difference maker.
With the win, Ontario gains control of the best-of-seven series with a 2-1.
The Reign and Steelheads will meet again on Friday and Saturday at CenturyLink Arena at 7:10 p.m.
