Many of the cyclists who raced through downtown Boise in Saturday's Exergy Twilight Criterium were back in action Sunday for the Idaho State Criterium Championships.
Hidden Springs hosted the races, which were sponsored by St. Luke's Sports Medicine.
They featured about 160 of Idaho's best amateur racers in a wide range of age and skill categories.
Besides crowning a state champ, the race director said the day was also about teaching kids to be active.
"Part of it is modeling the athletic and outdoor lifestyle for kids," said Race Director Kurt Holzer. "What you want to do is give the kids the opportunity to develop these role models to come out and do it."
The event is also a fundraiser for the Hidden Springs Elementary School Parent-Faculty Association.
