PAYETTE -- It's spring time and that means the return of baseball.
This weekend Payette is celebrating their former baseball glory with Harmon Killebrew Payette Days.
Killebrew was born in Payette and went on to play professional baseball for the Minnesota Twins. He was later inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
In 2003, Sports Illustrated labeled him as Idaho's greatest athlete ever.
Killebrew died in May of 2011 from cancer. He was 74. But his memory lives on.
This weekend's events include a golf tournament, street fair, and a baseball game held at Payette High School.
Organizers will also announce "The Miracle League Field," which is a project dedicated to help special needs children enjoy the game of baseball.
