BOISE-- Idaho Steelheads head coach Hardy Sauter announced on Tuesday that the team has traded the rights of defenseman Cody Lampl to the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for future considerations.
Lampl, a native of Ketchum, ID, and only Idaho native to play for the Steelheads, appeared in 114 games, tallying one goal and 27 assists. The 25-year-old was well known for his community service in the Boise area, and was a two-time winner of the team's Bill Campbell Community Service Award.
Forward Kyle Reed was also traded to Utah on Tuesday.
