BOISE -- We've learned overnight that the University of Washington Huskies' star tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins has been suspended, and will not play against Boise State on Saturday night.
The story is making headlines courtesy the Seattle Times, which reports that Seferian-Jenkins will be suspended for the August 31 game after pleading guilty to drunk driving in July.
The pre-season All-American holds every record for a tight end at the University of Washington. Seferian-Jenkins made 69 catches for 850 yards in 2012, scoring 7 touchdowns for the team, according to the Seattle Times.
The 6-foot-6, 276-pound junior is also a projected first-round NFL draft pick.
No word on the Broncos' reaction to the suspension.
