BOISE -- Hundreds of potential future Olympians were in Boise Saturday, competing in the Boise Valley Swim Association Championship.
The meet is the culmination of the swimmers' seven-week summer season.
850 athletes, as young as five and as old as 18, put their strokes to the test at the West Boise YMCA.
"I think what makes it so fun is the team camaraderie and all the friendships the kids gain with each other from summer to summer and it just really is a fun program for them," said Aquatic Coordinator Paula Ekins.
The championship started Friday and wrapped up Saturday.
