GARDEN CITY -- The Boise Hawks continued their hot play at home winning their 8th straight at Memorial Stadium, Thursday, 9-5 over the Everett Aquasox.
Wes Darvill started the scoring for the Hawks in the second when he singled in Reggie Golden to tie the game at one.
In the fourth Golden would score again, giving Boise the lead for good, when Travis Garcia doubled to make it a 2-1 ball game.
The Hawks would rally for two more in the sixth and then three more in the seventh thanks in part to Paul Hoilman's fourth homer of the season, to make it a 7-2 score.
Jose Guevara hit a two run homer in the eighth to again extend the lead to 9-2.
The victory is the Hawks fourth in a row and the first during the streak that did not require extra innings.
Boise and Everett are back at it Friday night for game two of their five game set at Memorial Stadium.
