BOISE-- The Boise Hawks made a move in the standings on Saturday, beating the division leading Spokane Indians 10-4.
After trailing by two runs to start the night, Boise took over the lead on a Yaniel Cabeza single to center field. The line drive was misplayed by the Indian fielder, which allowed three Hawks to score. The Boise offense continued to shine in the seventh inning, with a 6-4 lead, when four more runs crossed the plate on a pair of doubles and a triple.
Hawks third baseman Willson Cantreras had a hot bat on the day, going 2-3 with 2 runs batted in and four runs scored.
The win moves the Hawks to just one game back of the Indians and first place in the standings. The two teams will meet again on Sunday night.
