The Boise Hawks dropped another road loss to Everett on Saturday in unusual fashion, falling 9-0 to the Aquasox in a forfeit loss.
Everett got out to a two run lead in the first before play was suspended due to rain. After more than an hour of waiting, umpires deemed the field playable. However, Hawks manager Jody Davis refused to let his team take the field, calling it unplayable. The head umpire waited the allotted five minutes before calling the game as a forfeit loss for the Hawks.
The loss drops Boise (22-26) to 3-8 in the second half of the season.
