EUGENE, OR -- After scoring 10 runs on Saturday, the Boise Hawks bats were silenced on Sunday in an 8-1 loss to Eugene.
The Hawks were no-hit through the first five innings and managed only two hits all afternoon.
Boise's lone scoring opportunity came when Pin-Chieh Chen singled in Wes Darvill in the sixth, to make it a 3-1 ball game.
The Ems broke the game open in the eighth when they sent eleven players to the plate, tallying four hits, and five runs to make it an 8-1 game, and that's how it would end.
Boise is 1-2 on the season and the Hawks continue their series on the road Monday at Eugene with first pitch set for 8 p.m. mountain time.
