After a half an hour rain delay and nine hard fourght innings, the Boise Hawks were able to end their five game losing streak with a 4-3 win over Tri-City, Wednesday night.
Tri-City scored first in the top of the third inning with a long ball off of Juan Serrano, but Boise evened up the score in the bottom half of the inning when Ryan Cuneo hit an RBI single to score Richard Jones to make it a 1-1 ball game.
In the fourth Boise took the lead for good. Kyung-Min Na hit a bloop single to left and both Jeff Vigors and Elliot Soto came into score to make it a 3-1 ball game.
The Hawks added one more in the fifth when a hard hit ball by Jef Vigors caused the Dust Devils to make an error and Richard Jones plated to make it 4-1.
The win ends the Hawks five game losing streak and gives the team just its fourth win in the last 17 games.
Same two back at Memorial Stadium on Thursday. First pitch is set for 7:15.
