The Boise Hawks put an end to their losing streak Sunday night with an 8-4 victory over the Everett Aquasox.
Boise put pressure on Everett from the first inning on. In the first, Pierre Lepage got the Hawks on the board with a two out RBI single scoring Alvaro Ramirez. LePage and Ramirez continue to lead the Hawks in hitting, the two are the only Boise players hitting over .300 this season.
The Aquasox tied the game up in the second, but in the third Boise was back at it scoring three more runs to take a 4-1 lead.
A Jesus Morelli RBI single in the fourth gave the Hawks a 5-1 lead, but in the top of the fifth a three run home run put Everett right back in the game down 5-4.
In the bottom of the fifth the Hawks sent ten men to the plate and scored three more runs to counter the Aquasox rally to make it an 8-4 game.
Brett Ebinger got the win for the Hawks. It was his second of the season after pitching four innings and scattering six hits.
The Hawks and Sox are back at it tomorrow night. The first pitch is set for 7:15 at Memorial Stadium.
