BOISE--  Michael Peck will be the next head coach of the Idaho Stampede, the organization and its NBA affiliate, the Portland Trail Blazers, announced on Tuesday.  Peck will be the ninth head coach of the team, replacing Randy Livingston, who coached for two years.

A 17-year coaching veteran, Peck most recently coached the Finlay College Prep Program for five years.  Known around the country as a top tier prep basketball team, Finlay compiled a 157-8 record under Peck, including an undefeated record of 65-0 at home.  In 2009 following a 33-0 season, Finlay was voted the consensus No. 1 team in the country.

Peck has coached six McDonald's All-Americans, six Parade All-Americans, six Jordan Brand All-Americans and six NBA players.

Peck will be introduced as the head coach of the Stampede early next week.  In addition to the introduction, the team will also unveil a new logo.
