BOISE -- Former Boise State golfer Graham DeLaet is starting to make a pretty nice name for himself on the PGA Tour.

After a top 10 finish in the Byron Nelson Championship last week, DeLaet is now ranked 54th in the FedEx Cup standings, right behind Jim Furyk and Bubba Watson.

During the first round at the Crowne Plaza Invational at Colonial, DeLaet shot a blistering five under through the front 9. On the 16th, he sunk a lengthy putt for birdie, and finished with another easy par on 18.

The Canadian has made the cut in 11 of the 14 events he's finished so far.  Of the 11 times he's played into the weekend this year, DeLaet has finished in the top 25 six times.

He'll continue playing in the Crowne Plaza Invitational through Sunday.
