BOISE-- Going into the 2011 season, one concern facing the Boise State Broncos was the youth at wide receiver. Gone to the NFL were standouts Titus Young and Austin Pettis.
The young wide receiver corp stepped up though, and produced some impressive results. Eight wide outs had catches, led by freshman Matt Miller. Miller's 62 catches were a team high, and his nine touchdown receptions broke the Boise State freshman record.
Now with a handful of experienced wide receivers returning to support whoever the new Bronco quarterback may be, the Broncos are excited to see what they can do.
"I think they have more people that just have game time," senior corner back Jamar Taylor said. "You can just tell that, Matt (Miller), Geraldo (Boldewijn), and Mitch (Burroughs), they're kind of taking that leadership step. They're just really out there knowing what they're doing and just executing."
