Former Boise State golfer Graham DeLaet is in position to pick up his first PGA Tour career win. DeLaet currently sit in second place at the Crowne PLaza Invitational at Colonial after two rounds of play.
DeLaet shot a three under on the day, and his nine under in the tournament trails Matt Kuchar by one stroke. Kuchar was unable to finish his round due to weather delays, and still has three holes to play on Saturday before moving on to his third round.
“I played well on the front side, I guess the back nine, but my first nine. Then birdied the first couple making the turn, and stumbled a bit with three bogeys in a row,” DeLaet said following his second round. “I just wanted to make a par on six, that was my main goal. I hit it in the fairway, then in the middle of the green. It just kind of calmed my nerves a little bit, and great birdies on eight and nine to finish.”
DeLaet is in his fourth season on the PGA Tour, and is still looking for his first career win. He has played in 15 events in the 2013 season, and has finished in the top ten twice.
In 2013, DeLaet has earned $811,384.
