Former Boise State golfer Graham DeLaet went into Sunday’s final round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial looking for his first career PGA Tour win. But six bogeys set him far back from the lead, and he ended the day four over, finishing tied for 22nd at six under on the tournament.
DeLaet started the day in great shape, birdying the first hole and parring the second. But three straight bogeys after that started a slide that he couldn’t turn around. He bogeyed the seventh hole, and had two more bogeys on the back nine to end his round at four over.
"Tough day, but this will not get me down,” DeLaet said on Twitter following Sunday’s round. “Another chance begins next week. Thanks to all my followers for the support the past few days."
The 22nd place finish earned DeLaet $64,000 and 48 points in the Fedex Cup Standings. He now sits in 48th place in the Fedex Cup Standings, five points behind Rickie Fowler.
