Australian Craig Alexander repeated in Boise on Saturday, winning his 2nd-straight Ironman 70.3 in the City of Trees, with a time of 4:02:11.
There was an incredible finish in last year's Boise Ironman 70.3, with Craig Alexander edging out Chris Lieto in the final few meters. Both men returned Saturday for the 3rd annual Boise Half-Ironman, and they were separated by just seconds, again, starting their run in downtown Boise. But, Lieto pulled out of the run, just miles in.
So, in the final meters, it was the 2-time World Ironman Champion Alexander trying to hold off Ben Hoffman. And he did, Hoffman finished 8 seconds back.
Britian's Julie Dibens went wire to wire to win on the women's pro side, with a time of 4:25:14.
