CALDWELL – The College of Idaho announced today that it will name its new $4 million athletics facility after the school’s long-time Athletic Director Marty Holly.
The Marty Holly Athletics Center is currently under construction on the Caldwell campus and is slated to open late next summer.
“Under Marty Holly’s leadership The College of Idaho’s athletic program has reached new levels of excellence,” C of I President Marv Henberg said. “Our student-athletes are recognized nationally for their outstanding performance in athletic competition as well as their high achievement in the classroom.”
Holly is in his 33rd year at the College of Idaho. He was instrumental in the reinstatement of the school’s football program, which will begin competition in fall 2014.
The Marty Holly Athletics Center will provide training and support facilities for student-athletes.
