BOISE -- The Boise State Broncos are back in action after a week off for spring break, which means that head coach Chris Petersen is also back to work, if he even took a break.
Coach Pete had the week to digest the Bronco's first scrimmage, which was closed to the media.
It is still too early to form any hard opinions on how his players looked, but Petersen did say that he was happy with the way some guys looked. Especially at the position that all of Bronco Nation is wondering about - quarterback.
"I think all of the QBs are progressing. I really do," said Petersen. "Starting with our new guy Nick Patti, and then you go all the way up to Joe Southwick, whose been here for quite a while. It's a lot easier to see Nick's improvement because there's so much, than it is to see Joe's. But I do think he's doing some nice things too, and everybody in between there."
Coach Petersen was especially happy with how fast freshman Nick Patti is picking up the system and running the offense. He said it's still way to early to decide if Patti will redshirt this year.
