BOISE -- The Boise State Broncos are a scary team when you give them time to prepare for an opponent.
And that is exactly what they have an opportunity to do right now. The Broncos in the middle of their first bye week of the season. And if history is any indicator the Broncos should do well.
After each of Boise State's bye weeks in 2012, the Broncos had dominating wins over their opponents.
That extra week gives them a chance to game plan and heal up sore bodies, and they make the most of it.
"I think it's a little bit of an advantage and we get a little bit of a rest as well and so I think it helps your body and your mind as well to recoup," said junior linebacker Corey Bell.
With Utah State looming, the Broncos will need to make the most of their bye week.
"During game week everything is about Utah State," said senior defensive tackle Ricky Tjong-A-Tjoe. "We're doing turnover drills, fundamentals, you know, getting back to the basics."
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. MDT on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Romney Stadium in Logan.
