BOISE -- The Boise State football team opened the 2013 season ranked No. 19 in the initial released of the USA TODAY Coaches' Poll on Thursday.

This marks the fifth consecutive season that the Broncos have opened in the top 25.

Boise State was ranked No. 16 in 2009, No. 5 in 2010, No. 7 in 2011 and No. 22 in 2012.

The Broncos are one of just 11 teams across the country to boast a top 25 preseason ranking in each of the last five years.

The Broncos are the lone ranked team from the Mountain West, although Fresno State, Utah State and San Jose State all received votes.

Boise State is coming off a season in which they went 11-2 and captured a share of the MW Championships. They finished 2012 ranked No. 14 in the Coaches' Poll.
