BOISE -- Earlier this summer, the Boise State men's basketball program announced they would take on No. 1 ranked Kentucky on the road this December.
Right when we thought that stage couldn't possibly get any bigger, it did.
On Tuesday, ESPN announced they will air the game, which will tip off at 9 p.m. locally. Not long after the news broke, BSU head coach Leon Rice said it was something he anticipated when he agreed to play a caliber opponent like the Wildcats.
"When you schedule a game like that, you assume that's probably what's going to happen, so for us, a great opportunity. And you know that's why I cam here, and that's why our guys that we have on this roster came here. We want to play in those games," said Rice.
This will mark the first time since 1999 the Broncos will appear on ESPN.
One other quick note from Rice. he says they are just dotting the I's and crossing the T's on their non-conference schedule.
