BOISE -- For the second time in a week, the Boise State athletic department made a big announcement regarding football scheduling. The Broncos have reached a home-and-home agreement with Florida State University, starting in 2019.
Boise State will travel to Tallahassee on September 7, 2019, and the Seminoles will come to Boise on September 12, 2020, to take on Boise State at Bronco Stadium.
Boise State announced last week that it had reached a similar agreement with the University of Virginia for 2015 and 2017.
“As we try to grow our program, it's important to schedule games like that, and especially when you get them on your field,” Boise State Director of Athletics Mark Coyle said. “I can't tell you how excited we are for our fans back here in Idaho that have a chance to watch a program like Florida State. With their success and their tradition, coming here and playing in Bronco Stadium is such a big win for not only Boise State, but for our state in general.”
Florida State has a long tradition of winning with two national championships, 13 ACC championships, and 31-consecutive post-season bowl game appearances (the longest in the nation).
