The first day of the Trusted Choice Big 'I' Junior  Classic is in the books and there were some low scores at Shadow Valley on Tuesday afternoon.  There are three boys at the top of the leaderboard with 71's.  Davis Hague, Brennon Lancaster, and Taylor Schmidt will be in the final pairing for the boys on Wednesday.

In action the leaders are in the clubhouse at 74.  Defending champ Cali Hipp and Kathryn Buckingham both shot 74.  Hipp was unavailable for last year's Big 'I' national tournament and Buckingham went in her stead.  So both players have plenty of experience.  Hipp also finished second at the Big 'I' back in 2008.

A total of 110 youth golfers from Idaho and Washington are in competition for the opportunity to be named the best in Idaho.  The winners on both the boys and girls side will have an opportunity to represent Idaho at the Big 'I' national tournament at the Old York Country Club in Chesterfield, New jersey.

All of Wednesday's tee times are available at the Idaho Golf Association's web site along with the rest of the scores.
