BOISE-- The Boise State softball team saw its 28-game home win streak come to an end on Sunday, as the New Mexico Lobos handed the Broncos a 6-5 loss in extra innings.
The hot-hitting Lobos scored in each of the final five innings, including a lead off home run in the eighth to secure the win.
BSU pitcher Aubray Zell took the complete-game loss, allowing six runs while striking out three Lobo batters.
Boise State will now head to Mountain West Conference-leading San Diego State next weekend for its final conference series. If the Broncos can sweep the Aztecs, they can clinch a share of the conference title.
