BOISE -- While Bronco Nation may be a bit concerned about the lack of production by the Boise State offense, it's jumping for joy over the Bronco defense.

And why not?

The Broncos have looked dominant in the first three games of the season.

Especially in the turnover department.

Nine forced turnovers, six of them interceptions, and two of those returned for touchdowns.

The most recent, a bit of a surprise to most, when 305 pound Mike Atkinson rumbled 35 yards to pay dirt.

"In the summer when we're doing 10 yard sprints, he also wins against the D-lineman.  It's just a guy that size you don't really see move like that," said BSU Sophomore Linebacker Blake Renaud.

"It felt great.  I'm used to offensive touchdowns like I played in high school.  It definitely brought me back.  I forgot how tiring it was getting slapped around the whole game," said Atkinson.
